I am a Ph.D. student at KAIST, working in DxD lab under professor Hwajung Hong's guidance.
My research sits at the intersection of HCI and HAI, where I explore how AI can bridge cultural gaps in high-stakes medical settings. I'm curious about how our cultural backgrounds shape the way we think, decide, and see the world.
Before starting my Ph.D., I worked as a Product Manager and Designer in the US medical device industry, collaborating closely with CVS Health. I hold an M.A. in Design Engineering from Brown & RISD, and a B.F.A. in Information and Industrial Design from Korea University.
Having lived across three continents, I've grown into a bit of a culture enthusiast. Outside of work, you'll usually find me oil painting, developing film, chasing good coffee, or swimming.
Started my Ph.D. journey at KAIST DxD Lab!
Relocated to Daejeon, KR after finishing my role as a Product Manager in NH, US.
